Putting on smile on others faces!

West Monroe Church Provides Groceries to The Less Fortunate (December - 17 - 2006)WEST MONROE(TV-8)-
This time of year tends to bring out the best in all of us.One West Monroe church is reaching out to those living in a nearby community.Over the past few weeks, church officials asked members to bring in gifts of nutritional value for those in need.TV 8 news Cynthia Milledge went along with church members as they distributed the tokens of love.
Who ever knew a brown paper bag could mean so much.Life Church Pastor, Joel says "Go house to house, let them know we're here for them, let them know we care."You can say it's a gift of a sack appeal that members of Life Church West Monroe hope will reveal the true meaning of this sabbath day. says, "Actually a few weeks ago we passed out paper bags a few weeks ago and told members take these over the next couple of weeks and fill them up with groceries.
"Church Member Angel says,"It's awesome. It's a wonderful thing to be able to do something for somebody else."Cletus is one of several households on the receiving end of the act of kindness. , "It makes me feel good somebody give me something because they don't do that to much now. You can't hardly find someone giving somebody something.
"Resident Lorean says, "It's a blessing to us all."This is a bag of joy for folks like Lorean . She says it's nice to know someone is lending a helping hand. Joel says, "We encourage everyone in their community to get out and do something for somebody this season.
" Church members also attached a card to each bag as a tiny reminder they're here if anyone in this neighborhood needs help. Life Church members distributed nearly one hundred bags of groceries and members say they plan to do it again, next year.

Opps!
Opps I did it again, I failed to update every day.... Maybe if I quit thinking about it so much it will happen... I'm fixing to try and upgrade my blogger account and I'm not sure if I can figure eveything out..
